We would like to familiarize you with our office and the services we provide. This practice has been in existence serving the oral surgery needs of Connecticut residents for over 40 years. Our goal is to provide the highest quality, personalized surgical care possible, and at the same time minimize the stress and anxiety that is often associated with surgery.
Oral and maxillofacial surgery requires up to 6 additional years of hospital based surgical and anesthesia training. Drs. Volpe and Wineland are board certified . Board certification requires documentation of the completion of a variety of major surgical cases for presentation to the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and demonstration of expertise in the form of rigorous written and oral examinations. As oral and maxillofacial surgeons, Drs. Wineland and Volpe manage a wide variety of problems relating to the mouth, teeth and facial regions. In addition to the extraction of decayed and impacted teeth, many other surgical services are available. These include the placement of dental implants, correction of developmental facial deformities (abnormal jaws, chin), treatment of facial trauma (jaw fractures and facial lacerations), preparation of the mouth for dentures, treatment of oral pathology (biopsies and tumors), reconstructive surgery, and TMJ treatment. |
